 Not digital or HDTV! Seller is great, but don't buy if you want a digital tuner! August 26, 2010

Do not buy this product if you live in an area (like the United States) that only provides digital TV (ATSC - Advanced Television Systems Council) and you want to pickup signals over-the-air (OTA). If you plan on connecting it to Cox Cable, it will tune channels for you because the cable company provides an analog signal in addition to digital. Be sure to check with whatever cable TV company you use to ensure that analog signals are passed along to your devices before purchasing this product. Anyways, the seller was really good about letting me return this product, but I want to save you both time and money by letting you know that this is not a digital, ATSC, or HDTV product!

Purchased for an older model Sony LCD monitor. It's being used in our guestroom. Picture is good, but a little soft, so I wish it had a sharpness adjustment. I am using Boston Acoustic speakers (with sub woofer) that are over 10 years old, and they sound awesome. I agree the remote numbering is a little funky, but no big deal. Recommend for anyone that has cable TV and an old monitor hanging around!

I give it 5 stars for what you get for the money. Though the video is not HD, it is certainly as good as an antenna, analog TV. As well as tuning TV, you also get a way to hook in your DVD player AND your PC monitor port into this device and pick which one you want on your monitor. For the price, I believe it is an excellent value. I'd like to give it more than 5 stars.

I bought this item to use my ps2 on my monitor. I had many problems with this item from the first day, such as:
Remote control did not work with brand new battery they provided.
The screen was not centered up on my monitor, it is still not.
There was no color for a while, but then all of a sudden it became color.
Screen is blurry.
It functions fine, and does its job. But I have regrets not investing a little more bucks and getting a HD tuner with an actual "brand".
(This item's brand is "Made In China").
If you're tight on budget and just trying to hook up your ps2, get it.
If you have xbox 360/ps3 or want to watch high quality TV, think again.
