I got the C-200 about 2 weeks ago and WOW what a great unit! The bad reviews on here are usualy user error. They are usualy the ones who download there "backup copy" (Caugh) and to find out there are a ton of junk encodes out there. There are a few issues that are being worked on by sybas that come out as F/W updates but nothing major.
The suport is great on the NMT Forum and alot of good info on there to read.
All in all I love this player and I would buy another.

The product seemed to have no problem in reading files from the Microsoft computer on my home net, but it could not see the apple computer or the the files stored on that machine. Not sure if this was something in my area of control or if it was an issue of not being Mac compatible. Too often this is not clear when reading about products advertised here. I returned the device.

Tego un mes aproximadamente con el Popcorn Huor y la verdad estoy contento con el pero no totalmente satisfecho en primer lugar me tarde como una semana y media para organizar mis coleccion de peliculas con el YMAJ y progamarlo no es para amateurs si requiere de algo de canosimiento en sistemas, otra cosa por lo que lo compre era por que pense en tener peliculas blu ray .iso en mi disco duro, pero la verdad me arrepenti por que no vale la pena tener 50 gb ocupando tu disco para ver la peli una ves a l año, bueno es mi opinion, la segun cosa por la que tambine lo compre era por que reproducia true hd sound, pero es fecha que no lo he podido hacer que lo haga.
la interfas esta muy padre, tambien la opcion de quitar el hd de manera facil y rapida, pero si lo formateas con el popcorn hour queda en linux y despues no lo reconoce la pc

When you read the negative reviews on here you need to take them to heart. If you go to the Popcorn Hour's community forum and read for instance under Hardware about the Blu-Ray issues you will find so many other problems that have not been fixed in a long time.
I sent an email to PCHour asking about the status of my order and received this god awful broken English reply obviously from someone who 1. Should not be on the so called "Sales team" and 2. was not from the US as he told me.
He gave me bad information, bad links and even sent me here to order the product..lol. Bad move.
I could not have canceled my order fast enough. This is some overseas piece of junk that gets no customer service with the ongoing hardware and software (OS) issues from what I have read.
I do not have an issue with people from overseas but I thought I was buying a product from the US (they have an office in California and the contact number is there as well) and I wanted US rep. help. I mean the guy could not even type complete, coherent sentences. How intelligent is it to let someone like that reply to a US customer or prospective buyer. All he did was kill any chance of having my money in their pockets and led me to find a plethora of bad information on here and on their forums which I never saw before.
That's my fault which shows you can never do enough research. C200 is Bug ridden and never gets fixed. The firmware only causes more issues or doesn't fix anything at all. Please read their community forum on their website to see all the issues. Preorder Canceled.
They have no presence on the forums. They are not hands on. This stuff is very important and when it isn't happening it just tells me the company is poor and why the products are never being fixed or completed correctly in the first place. If you receive an email from someone in the US it should go to their office and sit there till one of their so called Sales Team can reply. If they even have a Sales team which I highly doubt. Sounds like they need tech reps as well and a heavy presence on their forums.
Buy this only if you like to spend a lot of time tinkering with technology! August 5, 2010

BUYER BEWARE!!! I bought the C-200 back in December 2009, it worked well for a while but died in August 2010, I had to send it back to popconhour for a new motherboard :( The device does play everything you throw at it and is faily versatile in that it can take an optional bluray drive and more internal store etc. Unfortunately it is an ugly addition to a home theatre setup. There is no offical support that I can see, most of the problems people have with playback seem to be addressed with firmware updates. It is NOT worth the price, there are many alternactive devices available now which do just as good a job, WDTV, PlayOn, ASROCK ION 330 etc. Trust me, it is a hassle to keep this thing working well. The forums over on networkedmediatank shows many uswers having problems which are NEVER resolved. Best steer clear of this box and all other popcornhour devices folks.
